India has a lot to play for in the 2nd round of this grand tournament, they were not only under pressure to prove but they also have to change the tradition and have to pass through the 2nd round for the first time so it can become a great memory.
The process of the tournament started in a similar way in the 2nd round, delegates from federations gave their speeches, inaugurated the 2nd part and showed presentations to make it a great vallour for the visually impaireed community.
The 2nd round was going to be the technical round with answers typed by support of Screen reader and all arrangements were done to make it go in a smooth way.
It started from Madrid, where the India team did well. They started slow but kicked off real pace in typing and ended as first spot in this robin round fixture, though as a process the bottom 8 teams had to pack their bags and now there were 72 countries to compete for next round.
from Madrid, they went to Milan, were greeted in joy, and again India used same tactic of slow to speed bust and same result came through being on top, but like the process of this robbin round again bottom 8 teams have to go home and now it was going to be knock out from next city onwards.
It started in Athens where India got a bad news, Indian captain got il and they have to call substitute against Chile for 1st knock out and vice captain has to lead, But Daksh did well and team did few mistakes defeating Chile in round of 64 going pass and making their captain proud.
Back in for last move of typing round, in Reykjavik, with round of 32, Captain returned and showed skills, the team was led well and in knock out again proved heavy wait for Denmark making them do more mistakes and crossing pass first time for the 3rd stage of Le Grand quiz tournoi.
It was a real feel of joy, but the job is not done yet, India has managed to cross the lines but future awaits them, it would be very interesting how they do from now onwards and til then they can celebrate, with more joy and updates to come for future, til now its cheers from charlie…
