Golden boot award

This is a world cup ceremony award that is given for most goals scored by a player in the whole tournament itself. The first time it got started back in the year 1982 and then it was known as the Golden shoe award given for the same cause. However in the year 2006 the name got changed and for the official records, the FIFA started to consider it as the Golden Boot award given for the most number of goals scored by a player in the tournament. Generally it is mostly considered that how many goals are scored but if it is a tie between two players, then first the one with goals of panalty is considered without no issues around. If stil there is a tie, then since the rules atributed from 1994, A player with more assists and precision is also considered. And if it is stil a tie then the player having least number of games in the top list comes to be receiving the award analysed by the jury. In process of giving this award, the clear sport presentation is considered and how the tournament went for such player becomes very vital to be on the prominent name receiving such a prestigious award. If we take the history of the last 5 word cups that took place, 2 of these awards did come from Germany and the other 2 came from South American areas making their impact felt great in such sport. Only in the last held tournament in Russia, The legacy did change and it went to England making the record change a bit with the sport becoming more prominent. Going back again, in 2002 it went to Ronaldo of Brazil, and in the year 2014 it went to James Rodrigues of Columbia making the impact of South America felt in the performances. Yet in the year 2006, the golden boot award went to Miroslav Klose, and in the year 2010 it went to Thomas Muller, both being from Germany making their presentation impressive. Like mentioned above, In 2018 world cup,it was presented to England's captain Harry Kane who scored 6 goals making the English legacy represented in the world cup rising as well. Hence it is a prominent award, has its own value for the players who take part representing their countries in the Football world cup, and is known for its prestige for which it is deeply contested and has its own pride amongst the players itself. In this way, Golden boot award, as a prize has been mentioned with briefest of details from the 'Book' on football here, we now come to the close of it and has cleared the structure at large...

Centuries

When a batsman while playing an innings in a cricket match reaches the score of 100 runs or more than the same figure then it is generally presumed at statistics in the form of century. There has been various records that have been created in such form and that is going to be the key discussing fact of this extract from the book on cricket in the GK series. When we say 'O D I' then it means the one day international match and such centuries are counted while a player is facing the opponent team and it is presumed as an individual score to count in such form of the game itself. As far past is concerned, It was Dennis Amiss back in 1972 who became the first batsman in O D I cricket to score a century as he scored the same against Australia. However, Ravi Shashtri was the 1st Indian to score a century in an ODI match. He managed this phenomenal feet against Australia who was his famous countring team and he enjoyed to score against their ballers. Yet in the name of books, Like the longest format it is lonely without the name of the legend Sachin Tendulkar sir who scored the most number of centuries, to be precise about 49, and like always in this form he has to be the legend of the game. The modern master like the present day commentaitors call him continued to chase the race of his ideal and as up til now the record of 2020 Honorary Virat Kohli is 2nd in the list who stands with 43 centuries and who knows if he may become the first to have 50 centuries in the One day internationals. As far other countries are concerned, three names are greatly considered including Ricky Ponting of Australia with 30 centuries, Kumar Sangakara of Sri Lanka with 28 centuries and South Africa's Jack Kalis, who had their great contribution to the one day format as centurians. One of The 1st cricketer to have hit fastest century in white ball cricket was Shahid Afridi of Pakistan who did this in the year 1996 against Sri Lanka and it took him 37 balls to achieve the master stroke. His record was first shattered by a Kiwi as in the year 2014 Corry Anderson from New Zealand hit the blistering century in just gap of 34 balls but this record didnt remain stagnant for long. In current phenomenon, The fastest one day century by a batsman in ODI is associated with South African modern great A. B. De Villiers who scored it against West Indies that included 8 fours and 10 sixes completing the same just in the span of 31 balls. Josh Butler from England has record of fastest tcentury scored as an English team player. This record he managed in Abudhabi playing against Pakistan where he completed his century just in variation of 42 balls. He also has the record of scoring a century playing with no. 9-10 players in ODI match for England and he made this record playing against Australia in home country soil back in 2018. However being accurately consistent in hitting the centuries back to back is not an easy task, there are few who have hit 2 back to back centuries, but only Kumar Sangakara and Virat Kohli has been two big names when it comes to great consistency. The record of back to back 4 centuries in ODI cricket has been with Kumar Sangakara of Sri Lanka who hit 4 centuries in 2015 and he did that terrific job in the world cup himself. However Indian Cricket Legend Virat Kohli managed to be 1st Indian during 2018 West Indies ODI series to list his name with 3 back to back centuries in 3 matches. Yet centuries have their own value in the field of cricket and when it comes to the One day international then their impact as match winning performances and also their number makes their present felt more vibrant than ever. They are valuable part of stats in the 50 over game format, have represented the legacy of great players in such single day format, and hence centuries are those pillars who propounded name of legends like Sachin Tendulkar and have also propelled Virat Kohli to be modern master for which centuries have their own value and every cricket journalist must cover them up. Hence after covering some key facts regarding the same from the extract belonging to the book of crickett in the GK sports series we come to close of this extract and hope it is enough or precise to have a basic idea the way such facts are covered in the book of the relative series at large...
