It is one of the most satisfying moments to showcase the works on environment in such a prestigious festival that welcomes authors from round the globe.

To begin the keynote, The author’s reef project shall get the spotlight  with support of Central library on the 2nd day of the festival.

Celebrating Saurabh Pant at the Dunedin Writers & Readers Festival 2025

This festival, the vibrant literary heart of ลŒtepoti/Dunedin will be even stronger as Saurabh Pant joins the Dunedin Writers & Readers Festival in New Zealand.

As we celebrate every 9th of September as Himalayan day, let’s have a literary touch  to it this time. 

We bring you some of the most famous and resilient writers who  had their connections to himalayas and a brief note on how they stand a pillar   affirming  rock solid in its culture. 


Preliminary visionaries 


Here are some preliminary  famous authors from the Himalayan region, spanning countries such as India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet, who have either originated from or written extensively about the Himalayas:

1. Ruskin Bond (India)

Quizzing legacy of Saurabh pant

Saurabh pant is a visually impaired author who was  born on 4th of April 1994  in the beautiful city of  Nainital located in hilly  state of  Uttarakhand. 

Although he  is more popular for his contributions in literature, he had made a certain impact in  quizzing during his presence and had made huge roads  in its growth. 

Let’s find  out the tournaments he lead to victory as captain of the visually impaired  team, so here's goes the list.
